Kraków Fortress Days – photo report

Thank you for turning out in such large numbers at Fort Skotniki – the headquarters of the UKEN Centre for the Documentation of Deportations, Expulsions and Resettlements – as part of the Kraków Fortress Days!

Today’s event provided an opportunity to learn about the history of Fort Skotniki and its role within the Kraków Fortress system, as well as the history and activities of our Centre. During the curator-led tour, participants were able to visit the permanent exhibition ‘Exiled to Siberia: The Fates of Polish Citizens Deported Deep into the Soviet Union during the Second World War’, as well as learn more about our collections, ongoing research, exhibition, educational and documentation activities, and projects carried out in Poland and abroad.
We are delighted by such a high level of interest in the Fort, the history of the Kraków Fortress and the Centre’s activities. Thank you for coming, and for all your questions and conversations!
