Meeting with a witness to history – Mrs Krystyna Serafin-Pryjomko
As I look at this jumper, I can see the blood stains, which I’m sure were created when I was bitten by those bugs and lice. I think that jumper would tell a lot more about what we experienced. And I’m glad that I didn’t part with it, in a sense… It remained a witness to all that I experienced.

In addition to invaluable accounts of witnesses to history, our archive and museum is filled with objects full of memory… We tell everyone who visits us about the fate of their owners. We are delighted that witnesses of history reach out to us with their families during the holiday season. Recently, Fort Skotniki and the exhibition were visited by Mrs Krystyna Serafin-Pryjomko with her relatives, who donated to the CDZWiP Archive the yellow jumper in which she was deported to Siberia at the age of 3.
