Meanwhile at the Centre… Intensive work is underway on the project entitled “Diaspora of Polish Sybiraks in the World – Record of Source Accounts/Notations and Home Archives of Sybiraks in the Country – Archival Complex” as part of the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities of the Ministry of Education and Science. In London, Dr Mariusz Solarz conducted an archival search. The collections of the Archives of the Polish Institute and the W. Sikorski Museum in London, the Library of the Polish Social and Cultural Centre, the Polish Combatants’ Association Foundation and the National Archives were examined. The source material obtained in this way will be used in the preparation of a scholarly publication on the fate of the Polish Sybiraks of Leicester.
