Pedagogical University employees at Fort Skotniki – summary of the series of meetings

We have concluded a series of meetings with employees of our university and their families, accompanied by a curator’s tour of the new permanent multimedia exhibition entitled “Exiled to Siberia. The fate of Polish citizens deported deep into the Soviet Union during the Second World War’. The meetings also included a guided tour of a unique part of the Krakow Fortress. We would like to thank the staff of the administrative departments, as well as the staff of the individual institutes, for coming in such large numbers. We are delighted that the achievements and work of the research unit that is the Centre for Documentation of Deportations, Expulsions and Resettlements of UP aroused great interest and appreciation, and that the researched and documented history of forced migration of Polish citizens, which we convey and record, was the cause of many emotions and reflections.
