Another group of students visiting the CDZWiP
Today at the UKEN Centre for Documentation of Deportations, Expulsions and Resettlements in Krakow, we had the great pleasure of hosting fifth-year history students from the Institute of History and Archival Studies at the University of the Commission for National Education, who, under the supervision of Professor Agnieszka Chłosta-Sikorska, came for a history lesson on the fate of Polish Sybiraks. During the meeting, the students became acquainted with the Centre’s multifaceted activities and exemplary archival materials, including an album of photographs of orphans from the orphanage in Tengeru, which was donated to Father Łucjan Królikowski, and the banner of the Grade III Public School in Lusaka from 1944. The guided tour was complemented by a lecture about a building on the Krakow Fortress trail, which is Fort Skotniki. We would like to thank you for a pleasant meeting.
