Meetings with witnesses to history
Meeting witnesses to history is an important part of our work!
In the previous days, we had the pleasure of meeting, among others, Ms Krystyna Serafin-Pryjomko, who donated over 150 photographs to the Centre’s archives, depicting, among other things, life in the army from the collection of Ms Krystyna’s brother, as well as photographs showing life in the Tengeru settlement and in exile in the UK. Thank you.
We also paid a visit to Mr Mieczysław Malinowski, who survived the Warsaw Uprising at the age of eight. His family on the Dąbrowski side came from Volhynia, some members of which were deported to Siberia. Some of the family were soldiers of the Home Army, including Mr Mieczysław’s uncle, Edmund Malinowski, who was commander of the Deaf and Dumb Platoon of the Home Army. We would like to thank you for donating the family chronicle and other materials relating to the history of Volhynia to our collection.
