The first Open Days for UKEN Employees this year are behind us!
Today was the first open day for staff at the University of the Commission for National Education in Krakow!
The main highlights of the meeting were a curatorial tour of the exhibition entitled. ‘The main programme of the meeting was a curatorial tour of the exhibition ’Exiled to Siberia. The fate of Polish citizens deported deep into the Soviet Union during World War II’ and a guided tour of the historical part of the fort.
The activities and achievements of the university-wide research unit, the Centre, were presented.
Also presented was a film made by the Centre entitled ‘In the Footsteps of Polish Sybiraks. Masindi 2022’.
During their stay at the fort, visitors had the unique opportunity to see artefacts that are not normally on public display.
The end of the visit was exceptionally concluded with an entrance to the artillery tower and the gun gallery.
