Wiktoria Zarębczan, MA
Graduated from the Pedagogical University with a bachelor’s degree in historical tourism and cultural heritage. She defended her bachelor’s degree with the thesis entitled: ,,Influence of the International Festival of Mountain Territories Folklore in Zakopane on the development of historical and cultural tourism of rocky and central Podhale”. She defended her second degree studies in the same field with the thesis entitled: ,,Emigration of Podhale Highlanders in the 19th and 20th centuries on the example of Gronków – the concept of a museum”.
Working in the UKEN CDZWiP, she participates in scientific and educational projects, organises educational workshops and keeps the correspondence and list of UKEN files.
Her research interests include the phenomenon of the Great Emigration, widely understood resettlement of the Polish population, culture and folklore of the Podhale region’s highlanders, as well as so-called “oral history”.
Licensed guide at the branches of the Krakow Museum. Member of regional bands: “Gronkowianie” from Gronków, Student Highlander Ensemble “Skalni” operating at the Agricultural University in Krakow.
