A presentation titled “Mothers in Siberia: The Role of Mothers in Exile,” based on the Center’s collections

On May 29, 2026, Klementyna Hoffmanowa Elementary School No. 1 in Tarnów hosted a closing ceremony for the “In Memory of the Siberian Mothers” Inter-School Literary, Art, and Multimedia Competition.

During the event, doctoral student Natalia Kaszuba (Doctoral School of the UKEN in Kraków) delivered a historical lecture, presenting a paper titled “Mothers – Siberian Deportees: The Role of Mothers in Exile.”

The presentation was based on materials from the collections of the Archive of the Center for Documentation of Exiles, Expulsions, and Resettlements at UKEN in Kraków.
