Registration of interviews at the Association of Siberians in Bialystok and a study visit to the Sibir Memorial Museum

As part of the project entitled “Diaspora of Polish Sybiraks in the world – record of source accounts/notations and home archives of Sybiraks in the country – archival team” of the National Program for the Development of the Humanities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, we have finished recording interviews with witnesses of history in Bialystok. We documented 9 remarkable life stories.

The Center’s Archives also received invaluable source materials from so-called “home archives”.

In the course of our work, we realized a study visit to the Sibir Memorial Museum. During the meeting between the director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, Prof. Wojciech Sleszynski, and the director of the Center, Prof. Hubert Chudzio, substantive discussions were held about the possibilities of cooperation, exchange of experiences and good practices, as well as undertakings for the future. We look forward to a revisit!
