Polish Heritage Days in the UK!

As part of this year’s Polish Heritage Days in the UK!
The UKEN Center for the Documentation of Deportations, Expulsions, and Resettlements was present at the ceremonies commemorating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish camp in Checkendon.
Among the exhibitors was also the Center’s booth, managed by our volunteer Bogdan Dudzik. The event was an important opportunity to honor the memory of Polish soldiers and post-war emigrants, as well as to build bonds between successive generations of the Polish diaspora.
One of the event’s participants was 100-year-old Czesław Błachucki, a veteran of the 2nd Polish Corps, whose presence lent the celebrations a special character.
We sincerely thank Bogdan Dudzik for his time and dedication. We look forward to continued fruitful cooperation with the Polish community and Poles in the United Kingdom.
