As a research institution, we are committed to documenting the stories of witnesses to history, including those who experienced the trauma of World War II. Historical memory is not only a tribute to the victims but also an important element of our responsibility for the future.
We remember all those who experienced the tragedy of war, and we pay tribute to its victims.

We Remember

Anna Rudawcowa’s poem comes from the collection *Poems from Siberia*.
The poet was born in 1905 in Dorpat. After the outbreak of the war, the Soviets arrested her husband and exiled her and her two children to Kazakhstan. The collection was written under the tragic conditions of exile and is part of the poet’s surviving Siberian body of work.
