Krakow Fortress Days – Come Join Us!

We invite you to Fort Skotniki!
On September 26, as part of the Kraków Fortress Days, an event titled “Armored Guardians of Memory: The 19th-Century Forts of the Kraków Fortress and Their Second Life” will take place.
We’ll begin the tour at Fort 52½ N Skotniki—the headquarters of the UKEN Center for Documentation of Exiles, Expulsions, and Resettlements. Participants will learn about the fort’s history and take part in a curator-led tour of the permanent exhibition titled “Exiled to Siberia. The Fates of Polish Citizens Deported Deep into the Soviet Union During World War II.”
The program also includes, among other things, a walk along a military road—usually inaccessible to the public—to Fort Sidzina, which houses the headquarters of Fort Sztuki i Życia / Fundacja Pełna Życia, followed by a tour of Fort Sidzina.
